Event Info

You are personally invited to our 19th Annual Updates on Dementia Conference on Thursday, May 11th, 2017.  This year we are excited to move to the South San Francisco Conference Center, which is easily accessible by Bart, Caltrain and the Ferry.  This will be our first year in this space and we look forward to having 600+ attendees join us from all over Northern California.

Featured Topics

Frank Longo, MD, PhD, award-winning researcher and clinician featured on the cover of Time Magazine last year  will highlight promising research that we hope will guide us to our National Plan goal of a disease altering treatment by 2025.

Other featured topics will provide practice recommendations and newly-published, tangible tools to improve attendees’ ability to serve isolated seniors who live alone, diverse ethnic and racial groups, and LGBT seniors.  Topics will drive early detection of cognitive impairment, delirium, pain, Alzheimer’s and related dementias, helping communities identify and provide the right level of care to support the growing number of people with dementia and their care partners living in our communities, delay institutionalization and decrease readmissions.

Who Should Come?

Professionals from all along the healthcare continuum are encouraged to attend.  Typical attendees include advocates, nurses, administrators, social workers, senior services, psychologists, students, therapists, researchers, city and county leadership, assisted living, skilled nursing, home care, home health, certified nursing assistants, ombudsmen, hospice professionals and more.

How Do I Sign Up?
